Remnant II’s First DLC Announced

Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games announced the first DLC for action RPG Remnant II. The Awakened King will release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on November 14, 2023. It will be available individually for $9.99, or included as part of the $24.99 DLC Bundle alongside two other forthcoming pieces of DLC.

The Awakened King sees the One True King awakening after being corrupted by the Root during his slumber. Seeing betrayal everywhere, he embarks on a rampage, with players needing to uncover the secret behind him and put a final stop to his threat. In addition to the new storyline, the DLC includes a new area in the world of Losomn and the new Ritualist Archetype, as well as new items, weapons, bosses, and creatures.

Remnant II is a sequel to 2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes and released in July 2023. Like its predecessor, the game has up to three players battling the Root through semi-random campaigns that seeds a unique path through the game when started.
