Metro Quester Coming to Consoles

KEMCO announced that Thousand Games’s retro dungeon-crawling RPG Metro Quester will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on December 15, 2023. The game, a port of the PC title Quester that released on Steam earlier this year, is intended to be reminiscent of 1980s video games and is set in a world designed by manga artist Kazushi Hagiwara (Bastard!!), with game design from Hironori Kato (Dark Souls and Elden Ring tabletop RPGs).

Metro Quester sees players explore desolate dungeons in Tokyo that contain breakable walls, creature nests, resources, and vaults. Loot can either be equipped or broken down for resources. Each turn, party members and enemies can select up to three actions depending on their current action points. Players will need to utilise the displayed turn-order and the enemy Hate values that determine their targets to help manage character roles.
