Inkbound Removing In-Game Monetisation

Developer Shiny Shoe announced it is will be removing all current in-game monetisation from tactical RPG Inkbound in the game’s next major Early Access update. The update, planned to release next week, will see the changes applied to the game’s Leveling Pass and Cosmetic Shop. Content currently available in the Leveling Passes will be converted to cosmetic-only DLC sold directly through Steam, while Cosmetic Shop content will be available through currency earned solely through gameplay. Inkbound features roguelike elements as players explore the magical Atheneum Library and the infinite worlds found within it. Players explore in real-time, with the game transitioning to turn-based combat. It can be played solo or with up to three other players.The game released on Steam Early Access in May 2023, with a full release currently expected in 2024.
