River City: Rival Showdown Heading to PC, Consoles

Arc System Works announced that it is releasing brawler River City: Rival Showdown on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The game will release worldwide on the new platforms on October 12, 2023, priced at $24.99. It will support English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options.

River City: Rival Showdown released for Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2016 and internationally in 2017. It is a remake of the original 1989 NES title River City Ransom featuring new story paths and endings, and comes with a fighting game, Double Dragon Duel 2023, included. The game gives protagonist Kunio just three days to figure out why he is being targeted by others and to solve the latest kidnapping of Ricki’s girlfriend.
