Disgaea 7 Teaches Item Reincarnation

NIS America released a new “Disgaea Academy” video for the upcoming Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless. The third video in the series details the game’s equipment, Item Worlds, and its new Item Reincarnation system. Item Worlds are generated dungeons found within each item, and clearing floors within them powers the item up. Item Reincarnation allows players to reincarnate an item into another item or even a weapon, which will inherit the original item’s effects. Items can be reincarnated multiple times.

Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless takes place in the Hinomoto Netherworld Cluster, a netherworld inspired by Japanese culture that is losing its “Bushido” lifestyle after being taken over by the corrupt Oedo Shogunate. The story follows lazy samurai Fuji and Hinomoto otaku Pirilika, who collect an odd assortment of allies as they search for the Seven Weapons of Origin in order to defeat the Shogunate. Disgaea 7 will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in North America and for PC worldwide on October 3, 2023, with its European PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch release to follow a few days later on October 6, 2023.
