Baldur’s Gate III Video Highlights Baldur’s Gate

Larian Studios released another new video for Baldur’s Gate III ahead of the game’s full launch this August. The new video highlights the eponymous city of Baldur’s Gate, which will play a major role in the game. Larian Studios shared that it was originally planned as a set of smaller contained regions, but ultimately created it as a single seamless location with three open-world districts.

Baldur’s Gate III has been in Early Access on PC and Mac since 2020, and is set to release for PC, Mac, and PlayStation 5 on August 31, 2023. A Xbox Series X|S version is also planned but has not been dated. Baldur’s Gate III is based on the latest fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons ruleset. Its story begins with the customisable player character and some others captured and forced to host a Mindflayer tadpole before the airship they are on crashes.
