Blue Protocol Hitting PC in Japan in June, Western Release Pushed to 2024

Bandai Namco Online held a new “BluePro Transmission” Japanese presentation for online action RPG Blue Protocol, during which it announced the game’s Japanese PC release date. The game will launch on June 14, 2023, with pre-registration available on its official Japanese website. In addition, Bandai Namco Online announced that the game’s western release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S — published by Amazon Games — has been pushed back to 2024. A western PC closed beta test will be held later in 2023.

Blue Protocol is set on the planet Regnus, which used to be ruled by a group of god-like beings known as the Bapharian Divines. It takes place many years after this period, with the remains of the Bapharian civilisation relegated to treasures and ruins. The planet is filled with a mystical light known as Engram, and supposedly harbours a dark secret referred to as the Planetary Beast. A new trailer showing some of the game’s locations can be viewed below alongside the full Japanese presentation.
