QotW: My summer game will be some combo of Fire Emblem: Three Hopes and Xenoblade Chronicles 3, because you never specified which summer the game comes from. (In all seriousness, I’m not interested in any of the three games in question whether for “don’t want to support Bobby Kotick” reasons or various gameplay complaints.)
While Tears of the Kingdom is likely to consume most of my summer, I am also looking at my preorders for Advance Wars, Trinity Trigger and the FF Pixel Remasters and wondering how I will make any progress on my backlog.
My summer game needs to be something from the backlog, like Persona 5 Royal, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 or Trails in the Sky SC. But I’ll probably cave and buy Tears of the Kingdom because I’m apparently a weirdo (based on last week) for thinking BotW is one of the best games I’ve ever played.

However, I may cave and get Tears of the Kingdom because I’m one of the weirdos (based on the cast last week) who actually loved Breath of the Wild.

QOTW: I’m still in the midst of what I’ve dubbed “Half-Finished 2023,” where I’ve been trying to finish all those RPGs I’ve half completed. Octopath Traveler, Bravely Default 2, Fire Emblem: Three Hopes and Triangle Strategy topping that list (and eating up all my free time) at the moment, so I can then go on to half complete Octopath Traveler 2 and Live A Live to fully complete them in some future year.
But once June comes around I already know Final Fantasy XVI is gonna put everything on hold for me. Aside from streaming it on my 1080p60 maximum setup, I’m also going to be simultaneously playing a second file just for me on my gorgeous 4K HDR TV. Those other games are just gonna have to wait 😁
Looking at what’s coming out this summer, I may only at least try out the Baten Kaitos HD remaster. I may be finishing up Fuga 2, but otherwise, I’ll be playing something in my backlog.
QOTW: xenoblade chronicles 3, tears of the kingdom, diablo 4, and I recently got into genshin impact which has been a nice game to slowly chip away at while playing other games.
I am pretty sure it will either be Final fantasy xvi or Trails of Reverie. I am excited to play both this summer.
