Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster Pushed to February

Square Enix announced that it has delayed the release of the Pixel Remaster version of Final Fantasy VI. The Pixel Remaster version will now be released on PC (via Steam), iOS, and Android in February 2022. With the delay announcement, Square Enix announced that it has added two new tracks and two new wallpapers to its planned Steam pre-purchase bonus for the game.

Final Fantasy VI originally released for Super Famicom/Super Nintendo in Japan and North America in 1994, though in North America it was released under the title Final Fantasy III. It was released in Japan and North America for the PlayStation in 1999 as part of the Final Fantasy Anthology alongside Final Fantasy V, with Europe receiving the Anthology in 2002. A Game Boy Advance version was released in 2007, with iOS and Android versions released in 2014 and a PC version released in 2015.
