Ys X: Nordics Announced
Nihon Falcom has announced the newest mainline title in its long-running Ys action RPG series. Ys X: Nordics is planned to release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in Japan some time in 2023.
Ys X: Nordics is set in an archipelago in the northern sea’s Obelia Bay. Series protagonist Adol Christin encounters a seafaring people called the Normans, as well as seemingly undead creatures called Griegers known to attack humans. The game will feature a new “Cross Action” battle system with two modes. Solo mode will let players control one character, aided by their AI partner, while cominbation mode lets them control the actions of two characters simultaneously. Ys X: Nordics will also let players pilot their own ship. Players explore the seas using maps and engage in naval battles.
