Elden Ring Gets Free Colosseum Update

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware released a free update for action RPG Elden Ring. The version 1.08 update adds the Colosseums of Limgrave, Leyndell, and Caelid, where players can participate in online PvP battles, as well as other adjustments. The following modes are available:

  • United Combat — Players are split into two teams in a timed battle with respawns. Every kill grants points, with the team with the highest score emerging victorious.
  • Combat Ordeal — All players join in a time free-for-all fight with respawns. Points are granted for kills, with the player with the highest points at the end declared the winner.
  • Duel Mode — A one-on-one duel to the death without respawns.

United Combat and Combat Ordeal can be found at the Limgrave Colosseum, while Duel Mode is available at the Royal Colosseum in Leyndell. The Caelid Colisseum features all three modes, with the addition of letting players summon Spirit Ashes.

Elden Ring released earlier this year for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It is an action RPG set in a world created by Souls series creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and A Song of Ice and Fire author George R. R. Martin. The game features the mysterious Elden Ring, a power sought by many adventurers that bestows the title of Elden Lord of the Lands Between.
