Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Bouncer Class Announced

Sega held a new NGS Headline presentation for MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. The presentation introduced the new Bouncer class heading to the game on October 13, 2021, alongside the Mission Pass reward system and Battledia quest type.

The Bouncer is a nimble class designed for close to mid-range combat. It uses Soaring Blades and Jet Boots weapons with Photon Arts (PA) and Techniques that work in mid-air. Players can learn how to use the Bouncer by training with Deirdre in Central City.

The Mission Pass lets players earn cosmetic and beneficial items by completing in-game tasks. The first season of the Mission Pass will run until November 10, 2021. The Battledia quests require that players use five Battle Triggers collected as enemy drops at a Trigger Portal to access. They grant multiple rewards including experience and equipment upgrade materials. A special Halloween Fiesta event will also be held between October 27 and November 24, 2021, with special decorations applied to the game’s world and Seasonal Currency available to earn and spend on various items.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is a new game that runs alongside Phantasy Star Online 2. The game takes place 1,000 years after the events of Phantasy Star Online 2 and is set on a new world and features a redesigned graphics engine, as well as a new multi-weapon system and abilities. The game released in 2021 and is available in the west for Xbox One and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, while in Japan the game is available for PC and PlayStation 4, along with a Nintendo Switch cloud version.
