New Release Round-Up (July 15, 2021)
Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases.
Batbarian: Testament of the Primordials
Batbarian: Testament of the Primordials is a metroidvania that follows a barbarian hero who falls into an abyss and looks to escape with the aid of Pip, his magical bat companion. It features English, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish (Latin America), Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese language support. Cthulhu Saves Christmas
Cthulhu Saves Christmas is a follow-up to Cthulhu Saves the World. It follows Cthulhu, the Snow Maiden, Baba Yaga-chan, and Belsnickel as they attempt to save Santa Claus from the League of Christmas Evil. Highrisers sees players attempting to lead their survivors and gather supplies, craft gear, and eventually repair the helicopter that can take them to safety. The four are trapped in the building as a mysterious condition turns humanity into Dreamers, creatures that shun the light but come out at night to attack those who resist the spread. Highrisers is heavily crafting-focused, with each character having their own unique skill tree unlocking new perks, recipes, and interactions, and each campaign features randomly-generated layouts to encourage multiple playthroughs.
Rogue Wizards is a fantasy-themed roguelike, where players’ wizards explore randomly-generated dungeons, battle Guild Wizard bosses, and collect powerful loot. Between dungeons they can enhance and customise their own wizard tower, building up the town around it.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is a remaster of Nintendo Wii title The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. The remaster translates the Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk motion control system to the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons, but there will also be button controls for those playing in handheld mode or on the Nintendo Switch Lite.
