Final Fantasy VII Remake Episode Intermission Details Revealed

Square Enix unveiled additional details and screenshots for Final Fantasy VII Remake Episode Intermission, the additional story chapter featuring Yuffie Kisaragi that will be included in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. The update provides some more details on Yuffie’s combat abilities and introduces some additional characters as well as their English voice actors.

The new story chapter sees Wutai ninja Yuffie Kisaragi and her partner Sonon Kusakabe team up with Avalanche to infiltrate the Shinra corporation and steal a powerful Materia. Yuffie is useful in both close- and long-range combat, with the unique ability to throw her oversized throwing star at foes. She also has ninjutsu abilities as well as a Banishment skill that deals more damage when it uses up more of the ATB gauge. All of her abilities can be augmented with elemental affinities. Finally, Windstorm creates a gust of wind that damages enemies and sends them towards her.

In addition to Yuffie and Sonon, other new characters include Zhijie, another person from Wutai who acts as the contact between the new Wutai government and Avalanche HQ, of which Nayo, Billy Bob, and Polk are members. Finally, Weiss is the cruel overseer of Shinra’s secret Deepground research centre. The voice actors portraying the new cast members are as follows:

  • Suzie Yeung (Yuffie Kisaragi)
  • Aleks Le (Sonon Kusakabe)
  • Daman Mills (Weiss)
  • Griffin Puatu (Zhijie)
  • Ashley Boettcher (Nayo)
  • David Goldstein (Billy Bob)
  • Daniel Amerman (Polk)
