Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases.
Dungeon Defenders: Awakened

Dungeon Defenders: Awakened acts as a reboot for the co-op tower defense action RPG series, with players selecting one of four heroes. The initial release featured fifteen stages, six difficulty settings, and a selection of game modes. The game sees up to four players setting up and upgrading their defenses to protect core crystals from being destroyed by waves of enemies. Karma – Chapter 1
Karma – Chapter 1 is a third-person action RPG and takes place in a medieval fantasy setting. The game follows a man whose village was attacked and parents killed when he was a young boy. Rather than seeking revenge, he grows up swearing to become a paragon of virtue under the name Karma.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a single-player fantasy action RPG developed by Big Huge Games and 38 Studios and published by EA for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in 2012. The Re-Reckoning remaster released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One earlier this year after THQ Nordic acquired the rights to the game. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is set in a universe created by R.A. Salvatore, Todd McFarlane, and Ken Rolston. Players take control of the Fateless One, a character brought back from death, allowing them to escape Fate’s machinations.
Saviors of Sapphire Wings / Stranger of Sword City Revisited

Saviors of Sapphire Wings / Stranger of Sword City Revisited features two Experience-developed dungeon-crawlers. Saviors of Sapphire Wings is a new title for the west, though is a remake of earlier Japan-only title Students of Round. The game sees a fallen hero returning to life 100 years after the Overlord of Darkness defeated the Knights of the Round and plunged the world into ruin.
Stranger of Sword City Revisited is an enhanced version of Stranger of Sword City. The original version of the game released for Xbox One, PlayStation Vita, and PC in 2016, with the Revisited version releasing worldwide for PlayStation Vita in 2017. Players control the survivor of a plane crash that results in them entering the world of Escaria.
Signs of the Sojourner

Signs of the Sojourner is a narrative deck-builder that sees players taking over their mother’s store after her death. As they travel around acquiring goods for the shop, they will come across various characters with conversations played out using a card game. The game released for PC and Mac in 2020. Undertale

Originally released for PC and Mac in 2015 before later launching for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch, Undertale lets players control a human who has fallen into an underground world of monsters. They are tasked with finding their way out, lest they remain trapped underground forever. The game’s turn-based battle system allows players to get through encounters without necessarily killing their opponents.
