SaGa Frontier Remastered Launching in April

Square Enix announced that SaGa Frontier Remastered will release on April 15, 2021. The game will be available digitially for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, priced at $24.99. In addition to upgraded graphics, the remastered version of the game will include a new eighth playable character, Fuse, as well as new events and a high-speed mode.

SaGa Frontier is the seventh game in the SaGa series and released for PlayStation in Japan in 1997 and North America in 1998.  Players choose one of the eight protagonists to play as, all of whom exist within the game’s setting, a planetary system called The Regions. Each protagonist has their own primary storyline, with other optional quests available and events affected by player choices during the game.

I’ll probably buy this on sale for the new content eventually. Not that I hate all the remakes and remasters…but is SE working on anything original these days?
