Disco Elysium: The Final Cut Announced

ZA/UM has announced Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, a definitive edition of the game. The Final Cut will bring the game to consoles, with the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Google Stadia versions to launch in March 2021 and the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions to follow in summer 2021. Those who already own the game on PC or Mac will be able to upgrade to the Final Cut edition for free in March 2021.

Disco Elysium: The Final Cut will add full voice acting to the game, as well as new quests, characters, and areas. It will include full controller support, including customisation, as well as additional language options. The Final Cut will be available digitally for $39.99/£34.99/€39.99, with a $249.99 Collector’s Edition available to pre-order through iam8bit that contains:

  • Physical copy of Disco Elysium: The Final Cut for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, or Nintendo Switch with reversible cover
  • ‘Layers of the Id’ premium box
  • Hand-painted ‘Mind Totem’ vinyl sculpture
  • 190+-page hardbound art book
  • Fabric map of the district of Martinaise

Disco Elysium features one massive open-ended case, which players can approach in many ways and in any order, alongside numerous side investigations. The game includes twenty-four skills to upgrade, alongside many items of clothing, a dozen tools, as well as a soundtrack from the band British Sea Power.
