My Time at Sandrock Announced, Kickstarter Campaign Underway

Developer Pathea Games has announced a sequel to its life-sim RPG My Time at Portia. The sequel is titled My Time at Sandrock and is planned for release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch in 2022. Pathea Games has begun a Kickstarter campaign for the game, aiming to raise $100,000.

Like its predecessor, My Time at Sandrock takes place in a “wholesome post-apocalyptic world”, where humanity has restarted civilisation after the self-destructive period of greed and warfare referred to as the Age of Darkness. Players take on the role of a fledgling builder in the frontier town of Sandrock, a rugged town on the brink of collapsing, building and customising their workshop and using it to craft items to help the townsfolk. Players can build up relationships with the various denizens of Sandrock, including establishing a romance.

My Time at Sandrock will include a revamped combat system as players explore the deserts around Sandrock and venture into ruins to find relics and resources. The new system will let players quickly switch between melee and ranged combat. The game will also feature co-op multiplayer on a unique multiplayer map with its own storyline.

The Kickstarter campaign is set to run until November 22, 2020. Those who pledge at least $20 will receive a PC copy of the game as part of their backer rewards, while those who pledge at least $25 will receive a console copy of the game.
