Nioh 2’s Darkness in the Capital DLC Launching in October

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja announced that Nioh 2’s newest DLC, Darkness in the Capital, will launch for PlayStation 4 on October 15, 2020. The DLC sees players attempting to uncover the history of the Sohayamaru by venturing to Kyoto City. After discovering a worn-out box, they are transported to the middle of the Heian period (with ran from 794 CE to 1185 CE), where the capital is being terrorised by yokai. Like previous DLC The Tengu’s Disciple, Darkness in the Capital will be available to purchase individually and is also included as part of the Season Pass.

Nioh 2 is set in a fictionalised version of 1555 Japan, as constant warfare leads to the land being infested by demonic yokai. Players control a yokai hunter who hides the fact they are a human-yokai half-breed. The game released worldwide for PlayStation 4 on March 13, 2020.
