Tainted Grail Hits Early Access

Awaken Realms’ Tainted Grail is now available on Early Access for both Steam and GOG.com. The Early Access version of the game is available for $24.99 — with a temporary 10% discount on GOG.com — and currently gives players a three-hour preview of the single-player campaign as well as a look at the Conquest mode. The Conquest mode adds roguelike elements including a randomly-generated map and will be the major focus of the Early Access campaign.

Tainted GrailĀ is a reimagining of Arthurian myths, set in the realm of Avalon with King Arthur dead and the magical guardian stones that protect its inhabitants losing their power. It is based on the Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon board game, with a story written by Polish author Krzysztof Piskorski. Players are put in the role of regular townspeople who set out to reach Kamelot as a dark power slowly takes over the land. Tainted Grail will feature many decisions that affect future events, with players developing their home village as well as their party members.
