Tainted Grail Coming to Steam Early Access in June

Developer Awaken Realms revealed that Tainted Grail, the upcoming video game adaptation of its board game Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, will arrive on Steam Early Access on June 25, 2020. The game is expected to spend around six to eight months in Early Access before fully launching for PC. The company also revealed the inclusion of a new Conquest mode. The Conquest mode adds roguelike elements and will be the major focus of the Early Access campaign, though roughly three hours of the story campaign will also be available in the initial Early Access version.

Tainted Grail is a reimagining of Arthurian myths, set in the realm of Avalon with King Arthur dead and the magical guardian stones that protect its inhabitants losing their power. The game’s story is written by Polish author Krzysztof Piskorski, with players put in the role of regular townspeople who set out to reach Kamelot as a dark power slowly takes over the land. Tainted Grail will feature many decisions that affect future events, with players developing their home village as well as their party members.
