Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX Out Now

Nintendo and Spike Chunsoft have released Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX for Nintendo Switch, priced at $59.99. The launch trailer can be viewed below.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is a remake of the first games in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. The game takes the player, who is transformed into a Pokémon, and puts them in a dungeon-crawling RPG akin to Spike Chunsoft’s Mystery Dungeon series. The Pokémon, who is selected by taking a personality quiz, then forms a rescue team to hunt and recruit wandering Pokémon that they might encounter.

The remake features over 400 Pokémon to discover, along with normal and Mega evolutions, updated visuals, an autosave function, and an auto-mode while in dungeons. There is also an online mode that allows players to assist others through the Pelipper Post Office. The online feature, which requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, allows players to send and receive items and currency, rescue other players’ fallen teams, and fulfill other teams’ requests.
