Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team Heading to Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo announced that Chunsoft-developed Pokémon spin-off Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team will be available on Nintendo Switch Online on August 9, 2024. The game will be available as part of the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online library for all Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team is a crossover between Pokémon and the Mystery Dungeon roguelike series. It was released in Japan in 2005 and internationally in 2006 for Game Boy Advance alongside Nintendo DS title Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, which is largely identical except for specific Nintendo DS-enabled features and capabilities. A remake of both titles, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, was released for Nintendo Switch in 2020.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team sees players transformed into a Pokémon and able to interact with other Pokémon. They set out on rescue missions in a world facing natural disasters using turn-based dungeon-crawling gameplay. Players take a personality test at the start of the game to determine which Pokémon they transform into.
