Developers Discuss Creation of Final Fantasy VII Remake

Square Enix has begun a new series of videos focusing on the development of the Final Fantasy VII Remake ahead of the release of its first part next month. The first video, viewable below, acts as an introduction to the series and features appearances from producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Tetsuya Nomura, scenario writer Kazushige Nojima, and co-directors Naoki Hamaguchi and Motomu Toriyama. The company also released a new set of screenshots showing some characters, locations, and gameplay elements.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released in multiple parts, with the first part taking players up to the “Escape from Midgar” section of the original Final Fantasy VII. The first game is currently set to be released for PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020. A demo is currently available to download from the PlayStation Store.
