Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Destiny 2 in Google Stadia Launch Lineup

Google has announced its twelve-game launch lineup for its new Google Stadia streaming service, which will launch on November 19, 2019, with its Stadia Founder’s Edition. Included in the twelve games are two RPGs: Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Destiny 2.

Google Stadia will not be a straight monthly streaming service and most games will need to be purchased separately. Two monthly options have been announced. Stadia Pro is a $9.99 monthly subscription that includes up to 4k resolution, 60 fps, 5.1 surround sound, and additional free games and discounts. The Stadia Base option, which will not be available until 2020, will provide up to 1080p resolution, 60 fps, and stereo sound. The Stadia Founder’s Edition costs $139 and comes with a Night Blue Stadia controller, a Chromecast Ultra, and three months’ subscription to Stadia Pro.

The other RPGs that have so far been confirmed for Google Stadia are Baldur’s Gate IIIBorderlands 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Darksiders Genesis, The Elder Scrolls Online, Final Fantasy XV, and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. All except Cyberpunk 2077 are expected to release on the service later this year.
