Yo-kai Watch 4 Materializes on PlayStation 4

At this year’s Tokyo Game Show, Level-5, the developer behind Yo-kai Watch 4, announced that the monster-hunting RPG would be coming to the PlayStation 4. A short gameplay trailer, viewable below, accompanies the news. Yo-kai Watch 4 released in Japan on Nintendo Switch on June 20, 2019. This news comes a few months after the developer announced plans to transport the sequel west, though a definite western release date has not yet been revealed.

Yo-kai Watch 4 is the latest installment in the franchise, and features regular series protagonist Keita (Nate in English). Its story takes place across four worlds, including Keita’s modern-day world, a world thirty years in the future, a world set in the 1960s, and the mysterious yo-kai world of Yo-makai.
