New Yo-kai Watch 4 Gameplay Elements Detailed

Level-5 has provided more details and screenshots for Yo-kai Watch 4. The new information focuses on a couple of new gameplay elements as the series moves from Nintendo 3DS to Nintendo Switch.

The first of the new elements is the Naviwoof. This is a spirit dog that will guide players to their destination. The second is Yo-ki, which plays an important role in battle. During combat, the Yo-kai Watch will absorb Yo-ki Power (YP) from enemy yo-kai. This can be used to activate skills, such as for attacking and healing.

Yo-kai Watch 4 is currently planned for release in Japan on Nintendo Switch in spring 2019. Those looking to read more about the game can check out Sam Wachter’s impression from September’s TGS. No announcement had been made regarding a western release for Yo-kai Watch 4, but its predecessor Yo-kai Watch 3 was released in North America earlier this month.
