Level-5 Announces Yo-kai Watch 4

Japanese developer and publisher Level-5 has announced a fourth mainline video game in its Yo-kai Watch multimedia series. Yo-kai Watch 4 will be released in Japan for Nintendo Switch sometime in 2018, and will include characters from the Yo-kai Watch Shadowside anime (which is set thirty years after the first entry). It is unknown if the game will have separate versions like the previous two mainline entries.

The Yo-kai Watch franchise features various releases across media including video games, anime, and manga. Of the mainline RPG series, only the first two games have so far been released in North America and Europe, with no announcements regarding potential releases for Yo-kai Watch 3 or Yo-kai Watch 4.
