Three Gameplay Trailers for Ys IX Emerge from TGS

Dengeki Online and Nihon Falcom posted three gameplay trailers for Ys IX: Monstrum Nox that were taken from the 2019 Tokyo Game Show. The first two are eleven-minute-long trailers that show characters traversing through two of the game’s dungeons, while a third is a short clip of Adol running up walls, warping between rooftops, and floating around a city.

Ys IX once again follows the adventures of Adol Christin who finds himself imprisoned in the city of Balduq after a false accusation. The game takes place after the events of Ys VII. There will be multiple characters to join Adol as he clears his good name, three of whom can be in the active party. Battles are fought in real time, with verticality and aerial combat being heavily emphasized.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is releasing in Japan for the PlayStation 4 on September 26, 2019. There has been no update of a western release date.
