Darksiders Genesis Introduces War

When Darksiders Genesis launches, Strife, the fourth horseman introduced in the series will not be riding alone. THQ Nordic released a trailer showing War, the Rider of the Red Horse, Strife’s brother, and protagonist of the original Darksiders, as a second playable character for the upcoming top-down action RPG. The game is scheduled to release for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC, later this year.

Darksiders Genesis takes place before the events of the first game. Lucifer, the demon king, is attempting to upset the Balance by boosting the denizens of Hell’s demonic powers. Players will be able to choose between the brothers, with Strife acting as the distance fighter, and War being the up-close brawler of the group, or team up in two-player cooperative mode and take on the challenges of the game together.
