Genshin Impact Announced, Closed Beta Started

Mobile developer miHoYo recently announced its next project, Genshin Impact. The game is set in a fantasy world that has fallen to corruption and greed, with factions turning on each other as the gods watched on, desperate to maintain the world’s balance. The game’s first official trailer, viewable below, shows off a bit of its world, specifically the City of Freedom, as well as the ability for players to explore it by climbing up the sides of structures.

Genshin Impact is currently aimed at a spring 2020 release. A closed beta test has already begun, having already finished its first round, with interested players able to sign up for further rounds here. Like the developer’s previous game Honkai Impact, Genshin Impact will be a free-to-play, monetized title available for iOS and Android devices, as well as PC.
