Genshin Impact Launches Today

Developer and publisher miHoYo released a launch trailer for its open-world RPG Genshin Impact, which comes out today on PlayStation 4, PC, Android, and iOS. The game is also expected to release on Nintendo Switch in 2020. The launch trailer can be viewed below.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play game set in the colorful world of Teyvat, a land governed by seven elemental gods known as the Archons. The game starts with the choice between a male or female protagonist who goes on a journey to find their lost sibling and to discover their own fate. Players will be able to join forces with over twenty playable characters while exploring the world and mastering different elements.

miHoYo has stated the game will continue to expand beyond what lies waiting at launch. Players will be able to explore two of the seven major cities right from the start, with more cities, stories, characters, seasonal events, and patches planned in future updates.

I had a couple of hours in this and it’s been good so far. Good graphics. Control is a bit wonky on PC version because it is a port from mobile (never thought there would be the day). Combat had been good. My friends who are well agead of me said thy are 20-30 hrs in and haven’t hit a hard paywall yet.
