Sega, Eden Industries Announce Citizens of Space
Sega and Eden Industries have announced Citizens of Space, a follow-up to 2015’s comedic RPG Citizens of Earth. The game will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on June 18, 2019, priced at $14.99.
Citizens of Space puts players in the role of Earth’s newly-appointed Ambassador to the Galactic Federation of Planets. However, at their introduction speech it is discovered that the Earth has gone missing. Players need to recruit a party from up to forty alien citizens to participate in a refined combat system that utilises timing and reflex-based mechanics and get the Earth back so they can return to their cushy new job.
Every action has an associated mini-game. Everyone enjoys easy, repetitive tasks that nevertheless require an inordinate amount of attention, right?
Expectedly, the Robot Sheriff has robot-sheriff-esque abilities.
The extremely localized temperatures of Charfrost allow blocks of ice to coexist a few feet from pools of hot magma.
One of the better jokes, though it's still pretty meh.
