Rune Factory 4 Special Opening Movie Released

Marvelous has released the opening movie for Rune Factory 4 Special, the upcoming Nintendo Switch version of the farming sim/action RPG hybrid originally released for Nintendo 3DS. During a recent livestream, in which the opening was shown, Marvelous also revealed another addition to the Switch version. Though Ventuswill will not become a marriage candidate due to his role in the story, there will be a new “Another Episode” mode that shows a different side to her.

The Rune Factory series is a spin-off to the Bokujō Monogatari (previously known as Harvest Moon but now under the Story of Seasons moniker in the west) farming sim series with added RPG elements. Rune Factory 4 was originally released for Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2013, with XSEED Games releasing the game in North America in 2014 and in Europe in 2015. The Special version is set to be released on July 25, 2019, in Japan, with North America and Europe receiving the game later in 2019.
