Gust Announces Atelier Ryza

Gust has announced Atelier Ryza: The Queen of Eternal Darkness and the Secret Hideout, its latest entry in the long-running crafting RPG franchise. The game appears to be the start of a new subseries for the franchise following the recent Mysterious subseries and a return to the previous Arland setting in Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland.

Few details are available about Atelier Ryza’s world and story. The game stars Reisalin Stout, an ordinary girl who is a bit reckless and whose life changes after a certain encounter. Gust has stated that the game will feature significant changes, with a new creation system as well as revamped versions of the series’ familiar gathering and combat systems.

Atelier Ryza will be released in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in fall 2019. A PC version will also be released, but no release window has been provided.

Ooh, I like that her look is less frilly-girly than most Atelier protags. Brings green-haired Shallie to mind, and I loved her.
