Goken Heading to Switch in Japan

Developer Gianty has announced that its action RPG Goken will soon be available to Japanese players on Nintendo Switch. Previously a PC-exclusive, Goken released in September 2017, and is available to international audiences via Steam. The Switch version will be available digitally via the Nintendo eShop on March 28, 2019, and will cost ¥980. No announcement has made whether the port is seeing a release outside Japan.

Goken is an action RPG that lets players equip two weapons simultaneously, with each one controlled by a different button, allowing for on-the-fly custom combo creation. The story features a legendary swordsman who was imprisoned by the gods after saving the world 5000 years ago, and who has now returned to the world. In a twist on classic stat point systems, Goken‘s protagonist can become stronger and acquire new abilities by getting inked with special tattoos on his body.
