Darkest Dungeon II Announced

Red Hook Studios has announced that it is working on a sequel to its rogue-like RPG Darkest Dungeon. Currently known simply as Darkest Dungeon II, the game was revealed with a short teaser that hints at a snowy location beyond the confines of the original’s manor. The teaser also shows six classes from the first game: the Grave Robber, the Leper, the Man-at-Arms, the Plague Doctor, the Highwayman, and the Hellion.

These classes are not the only thing returning. Narrator Wayne June will be contributing to the project along with the same sound designers. Red Hook Studios also plans to enhance the game’s combat system and overhaul the structure of the metagame. The game will arrive in Early Access for at some unspecified point in the future but as of now no other platforms have been confirmed. Darkest Dungeon, the review of which can be found here, is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
