Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division Announce The Outer Worlds

Developer Obsidian Entertainment and publisher Private Division, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, announced a new title during last night’s The Game Awards. The new game, The Outer Worlds, is being co-directed by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, original creators of Fallout, and is a first-person single-player sci-fi RPG.

Players control a colonist who awakes from hiberation on their ship heading towards the edge of the galaxy. Finding themselves involved in a conspiracy that may destroy the colony, players will deal with various factions, making choices that will affect the outcome of the story.

The Outer Worlds is set to be released in 2019. The game is being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
