Anthem Closed Alpha Sign-Ups Underway

EA has announced that it will be conducting a closed alpha test for BioWare’s Anthem. The closed alpha will run across multiple sessions on December 8 and 9, 2018. The alpha will run on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One but participants will only be able to sign-up for one platform. Those wishing to access the alpha, which is separate from the game’s planned pre-launch demo, will need to sign-up on EA’s Community Playtesting site to have a chance of being selected to participate. Sign-ups are being accepted until December 3, 2018, and are not tied to pre-orders or EA Access/Origin Access membership.

Anthem is an always-online title in a shared open world, while the single-player story revolves around a hub base called Tarsis. The game is set on a world “left unfinished by the gods”. However, the creative tools of the gods were left behind, and these clash with a force called the Anthem of Creation, causing the world to be in constant flux with the persistent appearance of new storms, mutated creatures, and giant monsters. Anthem will be released on February 22, 2019, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
