Undertale Creator Toby Fox Releases Deltarune

Toby Fox, creator of oddball RPG Undertale, has released Deltarune, a creation shrouded in mystery. The project, which is available to download from its website, was revealed by the official Undertale Twitter account. Its name is an anagram of Undertale and is also the name of an emblem found within the game. Those who download Deltarune are asked by the developer to not discuss its contents until 24 hours after its release earlier today.

Originally released for PC in 2015 and later ported to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch, Undertale lets players control a human who has fallen into an underground world of monsters. They are tasked with finding their way out, lest they remain trapped underground forever. The game’s turn-based battle system allows players to get through encounters without necessarily killing their opponents. Those wishing to read more can check out Zach Welhouse’s review of the PC version.

Update — For those who are aiming to remove Deltarune from their computer after installation, Toby Fox is recommending to not use the built-in uninstaller.
