Bandai Namco Announces New Tales Smartphone Game

Bandai Namco has announced Tales of Crestoria, a new title in the Tales series coming to iOS and Android. No many details are known about the game at this time, but it will be free-to-play with in-game transactions and will not be connected to any other games in the series, nor will it be an ‘all-star’ game in the vein of Tales of the Rays. The game’s protagonist is named Kanata Hyuuga, and he is burdened by an unspecified crime.

In addition, the company also revealed that Yusuke Tomizawa has taken over as the main producer of the console Tales titles, including Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition and the untitled game announced earlier this year. He had previously worked at the producer of the God Eater series, and takes over the role previously occupied by Hideo Baba, who is now leading Square Enix’s Studio Istolia.
