Absolver Expansion Lands a Release Date

Sloclap and Devolver Digital have announced a new, free expansion for Absolver. Known as Absolver: Downfall, the expansion will include three major content updates that will roll out on September 25, 2018, on PlayStation 4 and PC.

The first addition will be Downfall mode, which sees players tackle the Adalian Mines, a procedurally-sequenced dungeon shifting layouts every time it’s entered, upgraded enemies, and three boss fights. The second primary change in the expansion is a new form known as the Faejin Combat Style. This style, intended for advanced players, focuses on percussive strikes and fluid motion and features two dozen new attacks. Lastly, School Challenges give players of at least Disciple rank a chance to represent their school of combat in 1v1 trials. Wins and losses are tracked over a three week period with rewards granted based on performance per school at the end. For less meaty content, six new garments are confirmed for the expansion, as well as six new emotes and three new PvP intros.

Absolver is a martial arts action RPG where players engage in deliberate combat, journeying the land to discover and learn new techniques. For more information on the base game, Alex Fuller’s review of the game can be read here.
