Valkyria Chronicles 4 Shows Its New Features

Sega has released a new trailer for the upcoming tactical RPG Valkyria Chronicles 4, showing some of the new elements introduced in the game. In addition to taking players to another front on the continental war shown in the previous games, Valkyria Chronicles 4 also allows main protagonist Claude call in support from the Centurion land-cruiser, adds in the new Grenadier unit type, and lets characters about to fall in battle enter a special state where they can do one final action: either a counterattack or a boost for nearby ally characters.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is set to be released on September 25, 2018, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game takes place around the same time as the first game and follows the Federation’s Squad E on its mission to end a continent-wide war by capturing the Imperial capital. A demo including the prologue and first two chapters is currently available to download on consoles.
