Call of Cthulhu Receives Official Release Date

Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive’s story-driven RPG Call of Cthulhu has been given an official release date. RPGamers will be able to tempt the mouth of madness just in time for — what else? — Halloween, when it releases on October 30, 2018. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Inspired by Chaosium’s tabletop RPG, Call of Cthulhu sees players take on the role of private investigator Edward Pierce, exploring the island of Darkwater for clues about the mysterious deaths of the Hawkins family. Along the way, players will delve deep into Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos, confronting crazed cultists and cosmic horrors, perhaps even facing down the Old Gods themselves. In the end, the greatest challenge may be to hang onto just a shred of sanity as the Great Dreamer prepares for his awakening. RPGamers interested can check out Anna Marie Privitere’s E3 impression here.
