Fire Emblem: Three Houses Set for Spring 2019

During its E3 Direct presentation, Nintendo officially revealed the latest title in the Fire Emblem series. Fire Emblem: Three Houses will see the series make its debut on Nintendo Switch, for which it will be released exclusively in spring 2019.

Little is known about the game’s story at this stage, but it will heavily involve three main characters: Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude. Three Houses will feature the ability to move the main character freely around certain areas, interacting with other characters to build relationships or gather information, and will also feature formations of troops supporting individual units on the battlefield.

  1. I’m super excited for this! I’m even more stoked that it looks so much like the Tellius games!

I’ve seen some indications that there will be an Avatar, which has me a tad concerned. I should reserve them until we learn more, though.

This was one of the few things to get me excited from this E3 (RPG-wise anyway). The visual look is fantastic. I’m curious where the story will go as the trailer at least hints at some sort of grander political intrigue.

Of course I’m going to be very curious about the characters leading troops into battle. I wonder if that is taking from Langrisser or if it is just going to be a visual representation of hit points. Also, not terribly surprised that it’s delayed into 2019; with the lack of info, it seemed to be heading that way. Nonetheless, I can’t wait to find out more about this game.
