Trails of Cold Steel IV Hits Japan in September, More Characters Shown

Nihon Falcom has announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV will be released in Japan on September 27, 2018. The game will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 and will receive a limited “Eternal Preservation Edition” that includes three books containing the original drafts of the scenarios of the first three games produced before the main development of the particular games began.

In addition, the developer revealed a batch of new screenshots and character artwork for the game. The images, which are viewable below and likely contain major spoilers for the series as a whole, include returning characters from previous titles in both the Trails of Cold Steel subseries and the Ao/Zero no Kiseki duology set in Crossbell.

Trails of Cold Steel IV follows the events of Trails of Cold Steel III, and will conclude the Cold Steel subseries that takes place in Erebonian Empire. No announcement has been made regarding a western release for either Cold Steel III or Cold Steel IV, though the previous two titles were released in North America and Europe by XSEED Games.
