Shining Resonance’s Refrain Heading West

Sega has announced that Shining Resonance Refrain, the remaster of Japan-only PlayStation 3 title Shining Resonance, will be released in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in summer 2018. The Refrain version includes all the DLC of the original release as well as two new playable characters who join in a what-if scenario geared towards players who have already played through the game.

Shining Resonance was initially released in 2014 and features a real-time combat system. The game stars Ilburn, supposedly the last surviving dragon after the rest of his kind perished. The Shining series began in 1991 with Shining in the Darkness and has featured many titles on various platforms and covering various sub-genres such as dungeon-crawlers, strategy RPGs, and action RPGs.
