Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Reveals Opening, Digital Editions
Bandai Namco released the opening movie for the latest Sword Art Online game, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet. The animated video, viewable below, features the game’s theme song, performed by LiSA.
The publisher also announced details regarding the digital editions of the game on Xbox One and PC (via Steam). The Xbox One release will be available in the standard Digital Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition. The standard Digital Edition includes the Kirito SAO costume and Asuna SAO costume plus the silver assault rifle, while the Deluxe Digital Edition also adds the Kirito ALO costume, the Asuna ALO costume, and the shiny gold assault rifle, as well as a season pass including three unspecified pieces of content plus the photon sword pink, the photon sword green, and the guitar launcher weapons.
Meanwhile, the PC version will feature a single Digital Edition, though its contents will depend on the amount of preorders it receives. The first level of rewards is the Kirito SAO costume and Asuna SAO costume plus the silver assault rifle. The second level is the Kirito ALO costume, the Asuna ALO costume, and the shiny gold assault rifle. The final level is a copy of Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment. It not yet confirmed whether this constitutes an announcement for the release of Re: Hollow Fragment on PC, or if the code will be for the PlayStation release.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is being created by DIMPS, a different studio than those who made prior games in the series, and focuses on third-person shooting as opposed to the melee combat of previous titles. The game is planned for release in Japan on February 8, 2018, and in North America and Europe on February 23, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
