Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga’s Hold the Line DLC Releasing This Month

Dancing Dragon Games has announced new DLC for its tactical RPG Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga. The Hold the Line expansion is set to release on November 24, 2026, and is available to wishlist on Steam. The DLC will offer a new standalone game mode featuring fifteen battlefield chapters built around large-scale defensive battles and aggressive counterattacks. In addition, the developer will be releasing a free Version 1.11.00 on the same date as the expansion. The update will include various balance adjustment, bug fixes, and UI improvements, with full details available here.

Battles in the expansion makes use of Victory Points, earned by holding onto strongpoints and key objectives. The expansion will also add five new unit classes — Lancer, Ninja, Mystic Knight, Bard, and General — as well as five new artifacts and four new traits, all also available in all previous content. Between battles, players will need to use gold and resources obtained during them to recruit troops, improve squads, and prepare for more dangerous foes, with familiar story characters available to recruit.

Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga released for PC in June 2022 and is set in the war-torn land of Tahnra. Players control an Imperial Army Officer tasked with rescuing Empress Florina after she is kidnapped. The game was runner-up for RPGamer’s Best Tactical RPG of 2022 and recevied the Legends DLC in 2023, adding eight new story chapters taking place concurrently with the main campaign.
