Food Devils Early Access Release Gets Forced Delay
Studio Daimon announced that the Steam Early Access release of restaurateuring roguelite tactical RPG Food Devils has received a forced delay. In a message posted on the game’s Steam page, Game Director Alfred Kamon stated that the delay was due to a delay in Steam’s build review process. A new Early Access release date has yet to announced, but the development team is hopeful it will come in the next few days.
Food Devils is set in a post-apocalyptic world with players cast into the role of the last chef. They are tasked with attracting adventurers with food cooked from monsters and convincing them to sign contracts with the eponymous Food Devils. Players will need to organise expeditions to collect ingredients to bring back and keep the restaurant growing.
The game combines roguelite expeditions with tactical combat. It features four distinct biomes to explore, each with its own unique monsters, loot, and ingredients. Expeditions see one Food Devil joined by up to four human adventurers across a variety of classes, with players able to use Devil Contracts to boost adventurer skills and mobility. Between runs, players can learn more about the mystery of the Food Devils and the devils themselves, including being able to romance them or pair them together.
